August 3, 2005. It was one of my close friends that died of pancreas disease. It was terribly sad, he was 41 and left his wife and 3 kids behind.

My grandmothers in January of 2005. I was devistated because I was very close to her. We knew it was coming, she has been ill for some time, but she was also a breast cancer survivor. She fell and broker her hip and after that the dimensia set it and she passed away about a year later. I love her and miss her every day.
The most recent one was for a friend/old boyfriend who died in Iraq, in a plane crash. It was very sad. He was a newly-wed with a less than year old son.

April two years ago. A friend who lived in the building and who was just retired from teaching, aged 54. She collapsed on the sidewalk in front of our building while walking her dog, and died two days later of the aneurism.

This summer as a stand in for my parents for one of my dad's long time employees while he was away. I loved her dearly and her boyfriend Earl (Who her family refused to acknowledge because they never aproved of him and actually wanted her to be a bitter old shut in that she never became). I wrote this after I got back...

All Saints Day 2004 for my father. Unseasonably warm New York days (I looked like Tony Soprano at the wake!)

My Dad's little brother; he died from skin cancer he wouldn't have treated. He was the 3rd of the 4 to go; the 2nd oldest turned 82 this year.

My grandpa succumbed to cancer in June of 2004. The dumb people at the cemetary neglected to get everything ready, so we had to wait around for them to get everything in place. It kind of messed up the whole event and my grandma was quite upset.

The last few funerals I've been to have been tragic affairs. A friend of the family shot himself and my mothers cousin disappeared while on holiday and was found at the bottom of a ravine. Awful stuff.
