I don't think so. I think in order to appreciate the good things in life, you must know and face the bad things. On the other hand, there are things that I don't know (and don't WANT to know) as in what our government REALLY does with our money. That's a whole other topic. :)

NO – Knowledge is power.
However, one cannot have knowledge without responsibility.
Yet, one cannot take responsibility for everything and everyone…
Thus, making imperative for each one to “own up” to our own actions.
That little shift alone can change the world.

Difficult question, because "knowledge is power", but sometimes what you know is upsetting when you're powerless to do anything about it. For example, in China domestic dogs and cats are being skinned alive for the European fur trade. The McCartney's played as much as was allowable on UK TV. It really upset me. But what can I do about it? So do I wish I didn't know? Difficult.
But there's no single fact or "inside information" I have that I wish I didn't have. Djmetronome's comment has my attention. If I knew something about a terrible crime I'd be more than happy to tell the police with no regrets, whoever it involved.

I wish I didn't know about a friend cheating on their partner. Nothing good will come having possession of this knowledge.

Well, I go along with the opinion that while at the moment of finding something out that I think I don't want to know, but just become a stronger person for it, I also don't want to know some secret that no one else knows. Don't divulge some horrible act you did and swear me to secrecy. Just don't tell me!

"I still have found no practical use for the Trigonometry my high school math teacher promised me I would someday need" Sound familiar :o) No I didnt need to know that either!!! :o)
When it comes to matters of the heart, maybe sometimes, just sometimes, ignorance is bliss, even if it had been for just a little while longer...

Hi Sublime, like what you're doing.
I try and forget anything that I don't absolutely have to remember. And I'll forget some of that too.

In general I'd rather be oblivious than know exactly what horrible things are going on. I have no terrible secrets to carry, and would be unable to.
