Of all the things I've lost, it's my mind I miss the most.

I lose so many things....
The funniest and most frustrating one was when I was in Chile, and spent hours combing the city looking for an English paperback for the long 15 hr. flight home. I found it finally, and then prompty left it in the seat pocket in front of me while switching planes in Brazil (which was the shorter leg).
I think my boyfriend leaving his palm pilot in the same place on a flight to San Jose for a Palm Pilot convention is funnier though. :)

I lost a ring that my grandfather picked out for me for my birthday a year or so before he passed away. I was SO upset and even to this day it makes me incredibly sad. It's the only thing I know for sure he picked out. I swear that thing disappeared out of thin air.

When I was leaving home for boot camp my best friend gave me a buckeye and said it was lucky. I carried it in my pocket (after boot camp of course) everyday for 5 years and then one day I got mad and threw it down a cliff.

I can think of two things that I lost. The first was in the first grade I lost the blanket that my grandma had made for me. I still wish I had it. The other thing was a ring I got for my 16th birthday. In my family when you turn 16 you get a ring with your bithstone in it and I lost mine about two years after I got it.

My mother's engagement ring. It was stolen--someone broke into my apartment--but it left the family on my watch, and it makes me sad.

Apart from people, nothing really sticks out. I left my favourite coat in a restaurant when I was about nine, actually it wasnt the coat that was my favourite so much as the badge (a mouse sitting in a big chair) that was attached to its lapel.
Plus...wouldn't mind getting some emotional balance back either ;-)
