Last night. I am up to running about 6 miles a day but I have to walk a little over a mile to get to the track. It seems senseless to drive my car just so I can run 6 miles.
it was probably a few weeks ago when my friend was in town. we went into san fracisco to go shopping and had to walk about a mile to get to the shops we wanted to see.
I guess about two weeks ago. I had a second date for brunch and neither of us wanted the date to end so we decided to take a walk. That proved to be a little too chilly so we opted for a game of pool instead, but I'm sure we walked more than a mile.
So the destination was to be together just a little longer.
All the time. Well, I do it by choice, for exercise. More specifically, I generally walk to the library on Friday's for my lunch break and it's over a mile one way. Haven't done it since my foot surgery, so prbably about seven weeks ago.
Probably last fall, walking home from the bus stop when my car was in the shop. I don't mind walking short distances, but physical limitations restrict long distances.
Last Saturday. My car was in the shop, and I had time to kill. So I walked to the coffee shop, then to the mall, then to the Nextel store to get a phone, back to the shop to find out I'd have to wait about another 2 hours, then to Walmart and back. All told, it was about 3 1/2 - 4 miles walked. I hate waiting...
I walk all the time, to and from work, etc... I like it that way. I think I walked a mile to get to the subway station last Tuesday, but I walk miles and miles in total every day.
Even though I go running, I can't remember the last time I walked anywhere. I think the last time would have been last week - I had to go to London for work and had to walk to find the right office. Was a beautiful day too. But my feet hurt.
Just to prove I'm not totally lazy - tomorrow I'm going to the Malvern Show and that will entail walking the equivalent of lots of miles!
For just a general walk for exercise, I did that about a month ago, but to actually walk to get somewhere, I'd say a couple of years ago when we went to Pictured Rocks National Park. We had to walk about 2 and a half miles to get back to a waterfall...
I walk a lot... it is hard to tell how far, since I am so distracted with my thoughts and immersed in my photography...
The longest "conscious" walks are to a couple of shopping areas in a neighboring town and I go there with a specific purpose, like stationary or hardware. I do set aside an afternoon for that...

I only walk moderately. But the last time, it was at Moab, UT. where we vacationed. Hiked hiked and hiked some more!
