I'll be at home with my wonderful husband and three kids. Hopefully the kids will be asleep by then and my husband will not. We'll probably just eat snacks, watch some TV, maybe play Scrabble or something. We'll watch the countdown, give each other a kiss, then go to bed and go to sleep. Sounds boring, but I love the simple, quiet moments with just my family anyway!
well, since i'm answering this the morning of 2007, this is how i SPENT new years eve:
my man and i went to a random house party in san francisco with a co-worker, her boyfriend, and a friend of his. it had the potential of being lame, but when we walked in i knew it wasn't going to be.
during the course of the night we got to see fire throwers, body painting, and a midnight balloon drop. it was a great way to ring in the new year!
We were camping at the coast in a yurt and brought in the new year around the campfire with poppers, sparkling cider and two of our very best friends. It was lovely!
Me, my partner and our son rented a nice hotel room. My son had a friend come and go swimming, then they ran the hallways having a great time. We had pizza, ate all kinds of junk and basically just RELAXED! We watched the ball drop at midnight, drank mimosas and then went to sleep by 12:30 in big, comfy beds, surrounded by plush linens and pillows. It was wonderful and I couldn't think of a single place I would have rather been.

At a benefit party, with all proceeds going to a local shelter for victims of domestic violence.
I plan on drinking copious amounts of alcohol and dancing my ass off.
