i did the south beach diet for a coupla weeks and lost a few pounds...i've found that the basic eat right and move your body is the best way for me to lose weight...gimmicky diets don't work for me...
I did South Beach about two years ago and lost over 15 pounds, but gained it back over the last year.
I've been on Weight Watchers for about 2 months and have lost 13 pounds so far. My friend and I are doing it together and she's lost almost 20 pounds. This program seems more healthy and moderate, and easier to maintain in the long run. Plus the support is really helpful.
Man, I'm the queen of dieting. Never did one of the traditional programs, but I have tried quite a few diets pills, including ephedra...yes, it works. Now I just try to keep a balance between diet and exercise and not be too obsessed!
You implying a Pint of Guinness in each hand isn't a balanced diet? ;o)
OK bad philosophy maybe as I'm carrying maybe 10Ks extra winter mass at the moment to help with the forthcoming cold :o) (Your not buying that are you ;o) )
I try never to diet, try never to use scales, I know if I'm under or over weight by how well my belts fit, as a rule if I'm to heavy I just try and get more exercise (yeah I know, lucky Ladies ;o) ),and eat less Take-outs...
I'm with Fletch...I don't own a scale. I try to eat right, the main thing I avoid is refined sugar. (No sodas, candy, white bread, etc)...but that is not a fad that is a lifestyle change. I also try to work out 6 hours a week minimum.
I did Weight Watchers about 3 years ago and lost 40 pounds. I gained half of it back after stopping the program, but then I went back and lost 10. As long as I stay with it, I do alright..
