I'm not telling my nickname, but when I googled it, the picture of the dress was the first thing that came up...lol. I have NO idea what the two things would have in common.
My nickname was given to my by my Dad and I have no idea why.
my dad used to call me "peanut" and "munchkin" - reasons unexplained. then, i didn't have a nickname until my sophomore year in college. it was "d" and my boyfriend at the time gave it to me (not sure why). then, my best friend decided that "dee" was better, because the two "e's" made it cuter. and so one that stuck...
My sister couldn't say brother, so she called me "Bubby" until I was silly enough to be embarrassed by it when I was a freshman and she used it in front of my schoolmates and I told her to never call me that again...I've regretted it almost ever since!
My brother used to call me "Newt" just to get under my skin, which it did. I have NO idea why he chose that, or what it meant, or why I hated it so much. A friend of mine gave me my current moniker right after "The Incredibles" came out b/c I always had a knack for shedding new light on people's stupidity, proving how incredulous they were being...
Oh, the possibilities.....my mom called me Irish and Pumpkin. I was Duffy for a summer at camp, Shanie in high school for a few years. Now my nickname is Spork, which is what people call me when I go to Burning Man. I'm not telling you my boyfriend's nickname for me!
I got nicknamed "Smiley" when I just moved to a new school since that's all I pretty much did when people talked to me. Just give short answers and smile :)
Pirate. I use it for blog moniker. i received it from those who know me and my past of sailing from port to port liberating the junk others called treasure.
I gave myself several nicknames. Everytime we moved I would pick something new, until 8th grade. That one has stuck to this day. Other than that: Sex Ves (part of my last maiden name) Cracy
My family calls me Gaylee because it is a short version of my name. I think it started with my older brother not being able to pronounce my name when he was younger. But I only let the family call me that and if anyone asks if I have a nickname, I say no. :)

Hmm, I'm quite curious about your nickname, Sublime.
My sis called me Belle, which was a shorter version of her original nickname of yellowbelle. I loved the color yellow.

"Sissy" My sister has called me that since the day she was born, over 27 years ago. If she ever uses my real name, it sounds very foreign.
