What is the closest living thing to where you are at right now? (IE: person, animal, etc.) What are they doing?

    My two chihuahuas are the closest to me right now. They are both curled up asleep in their dog bed, looking adorable as usual.

    My two kids are closest to me right now. They are in the living room: the three year old insisted on watching Pirates of the Caribbean, and the 8 month old is playing with toys and eating Cheerios off the floor. Good times.

    one of my 3 golden retrievers, sheba, is curled up on the floor right behind my chair, waiting for my next move...and there is a large potted swedish ivy and a potted rabbit's foot fern within arms' reach of me...they're just veggin out...
