i am of the opinion that nothing the current administration does is of the people, for the people, or by the people...i am of the opinion that the current administration sucks in every possible way...big time...
OK, maybe a bit of a tangent, but what on earth is a Chr. Scientist doing in Baghdad? What does the Iraqi people have to do with Scientology? It's unfortunate that such deprived folks hurt anyone they can get their hands on. I believe that even if we DID release the Iraqi women, this gal would still die, or at least disappear forever. Sad.
I know that is sucks, but its correct. You can't negotiate with terrorists. You just can't. Because then they win and they will do it more and more because they know they can get things from you. Its a terrible slippery slope and I pray for each and every man or woman who has been held hostage. It is a terrible plight.
Although I do hate this administration and everything it stands for, I guess I do agree that you can't negotiate with terrorists.
If we give them what they want, they will just continue to abduct innocent people. Although they continue to do it anyway, I don't think it would get any better if we gave in.
I do however believe that we should be talking with the people and use politics and policy instead of guns to settle this.
I also agree with what Nancy said, but when it comes to dealing with terrorists...it's like the children's book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Give him a cookie and he'll want a glass of milk. Give him a glass of milk and he'll want... You get the picture. Give a terrorist one thing and they'll just want something else. Like Min Pin said, it's a slippery slope. :-\

Amen, Nancy. I second what you say. These people couldn't govern their way out of a paper bag (or an intractable, unwinnable war).
