When was the last time you took a "weekend getaway" trip? Where did you go, who were you with, what did you do?

    I went to LA....with my daughters best friend and we did EVERYTHING...Santa Monica Pier, downtown Hollywood, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive...it was a fast 3 days!!

    we went to bar harbor (bah hahbah). it was great! we stayed at a fancy hotel and went to acadia. everything was cheaper than usual because we went in november!

    I had a weekend trist in San Diego with this lovely girl with stunning red hair. It was right on the beach, and rained 2 of the three days! So we didn't leave the room much!

    ...But we did see the Zoo, they wouldn't let us leave town until we did!

    Fran and I went to San Francisco for a 3 day weekend last Easter. We learned to use public transportation and visited almost all areas of the city. The only problem was we decided to walk from our hotel to the pier area, it was probably close to 20 blocks, and we figured we could do it, no problem. Big problem... hills, lots and lots of very steep hills!

    New York, May 2005. My friend C - we went to see two radio plays in Brooklyn with Steve Buscemi, John Goodman, Philip Seymore Hoffman, Meryl Streep, Peter Dinklage - and others. One play was written by the Coen brothers and the other was written by Kaufman. They were wonderful! And we had really, really amazing seats...LOVED Brooklyn.

    Back in January 2004 right after the New Year when I was in Germany and my family was visiting, me, my brother, and 2 of our cousins took a weekend trip to Vienna. It was only a 4 hour drive and we had fun exploring the city, although it was VERY cold.

    Me and my girl went to Colorado for the weekend and we had a blast. Saw the Coors Brewery, Went to the top of the mountains (amazing and so romantic), went to Vail, Breckenridge, and everywhere in between. So beautiful. We had the time of our lives and hope to be moving there soon.

    Seattle in November. Went to celebrate a good friend's birthday and see the new Harry Potter, then celebrated our one year anniversary with a nice dinner out. If you're talking "just the two of us", the coast a year ago in February.

    James and I went to Prague just before Christmas. We had a nightmare of a first night but the following day was wonderful, unfortunately the next day wasnt as much fun, but that 1 day was soo great that it always brings a smile to my face when I think of it.
