i was in a 2 as a flowergirl when i was little...one for my aunt and one for my mom's best friend.
then i was a bridesmaid in my mom's third wedding.
recently i was the maid of honor i my best friends wedding. the best part of it was being part of their special day. the worst, was all of the shit i had to do before, during, and after the wedding. nobody warns you that being the MOH means you are the bride's bitch for 48 hours straight!

I was in my sister's wedding when I was in 7th grade. It was awful because I didn't realize that when they drove away after the reception, they weren't coming back. I cried the rest of the day. That is the only one I've been in.

I was Best Man for my old college roommate when he got married. It was awesome, because he had lost his sight in a car accident at 17, but he lived life as if he had no disability. He's one of the most independent people I had ever met, and here he was on a day choosing to share his life with someone, and he asked me to be a part of the start of it all. It was quite an honor.
I was also a groom once. I got married to my wife! (This one was definitely the better of my 2 wedding parties...)

I was a bridesmaid in my cousin's and one of my best friend's weddings. I was maid of honor at my oldest childhood friend's birthday. That was pretty easy because she did everything herself.
Last February, I was my sister's maid of honor and BOY was that a lot of work. It was a mostly DIY wedding, with me doing most of the crafty stuff. Plus keeping an eye on all the planning and keeping my sister calm. It was all worth it and now they are happily married with a darling little baby boy.

Oh, I forgot being the maid of honor at my mom's second wedding! geez, how could I forget us running out to the curb of a family friend's house in our fancy dresses chasing the ice cream truck!

I was maid of honor in my sister's wedding, which was a very small country wedding.
I was a bridesmaid in a good friend of mine's wedding in a very large Catholic wedding.
The big wedding was a lot of fun - great drunken reception, lots of my friend's great family and friends! With my sister's wedding, they got married fast, so none of the family knew each other and it was a bit awkward. Also, there was no booze which added to the awkwardness. No one ever really relaxed...

I've been a maid of honor twice, sang and/or played piano in numerous wedding ceremonies and have been the bride twice ( with a divorce in between ). Absolutely the most traumatic wedding ever was my sister's. Read about it on my blog (http://songbirdmyway.blogspot.com/2006/07/what-fresh-hell-is-this-first-what.html I guarantee it is a funny story!
