What is your favorite way to bring in the new year?

After putting the kids to bed at their normal time, my wife and I like to settle down with a nice movie, and then go to bed. Before midnight.

With friends. We all get together NYE, have a buffet dinner and open Christmas presents, then it's games and frivolity into the wee hours of the morning.

I haven't been out for New Years in such a long time...and this year I have an actual party with adults to attend. I'm betting it will be one of my favorite New Years.

Playing games with friends and family at the house. I don't need to go out and go to some big party. I just like having a quiet evening at home with friends and family.
