Ninety-ninth Question

Forgive me! I almost forgot to post today's question :)

Have you ever had "medically necessary" surgery? If so, what was it for?

    Yup...had a big honkin' tumor removed about 6 weeks ago.

    i had back surgery when i was 12 because the dr's needed to stop my spine from curving any more. so they fused some vertebrea together and stuck some pins in my spine to hold it there. w/o the surgery i would be severly crippled...

    I had a hernia repaired when I was 14, my appendix removed when I was 16 and then there was the c-section with my second daughter when I was 25

    Broken pinky did not heal right in the splint so I had to have surgery to get it to heal back together. Still does not go out straight. Oh well its all good atleast the bone is together.

    I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 14. All four were impacted so they had to put me under and cut me up. Does that count?

    I also had a tubal myringotomy when I was 3, but that's pretty minor.

    I've had two. In both instances I had pre-cancerous cells removed from my breasts.

    happykap - ow!

    i've had 2 c-sections.
    i cut my finger almost all the way off as a child and had to have it reattached.
    i've had malignant melanoma removed.

    I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed which the dentist said was necessary. I put it off for about a year, but after it was said and done, it wasn't so bad.
