a few piano awards when i was little, some 3rd grade reading competition, a small "sort of" award in my sorority, and maybe a few other things i can't remember. nothing too monumental.
Let's see.....I won the 50-yard dash in grade school, the 6th grade spelling bee, the Presidential Fitness award in junior high, best actress in 9th grade, most improved vocalist in 12th grade. I was a bit of an overachiever :)
Outstanding achievement in computer programming from my school in 1987. Primary computer languages used in that day and age were BASIC, Pascal and Cobol. My, my, how far we've come!
Some awards over the years in band (mostly participant, though), Honorable Mention in the school science fair in 3rd grade, I think that's really about it. Oh, and in college I got the "Best Improvisor Award -- Sariah will find any and every way to play C#" (My then-boyfriend, now husband's name is C. Sharp, so it's our nerdy musical way of being funny), and I was up for the "Glass Belly Button Award" in marching band my last year at university (which is for the person who's head is so far up their own ass, they need a glass belly button to see out). I love band awards.
