Four Hundred and Ninth Question

Sometimes people wait ridiculous amounts of time for certain things (ie: concert tickets, the latest video game system,
dinner at a hot spot, etc.)

What is the longest you have ever waited in line
for something and what was it?

i'm not a patient person. and i'm not sure i've wanted something bad enough to realize that patience is a virtue. if i think of something i'll come back.

Seems like it happens to me alot, but, today was one of my most recent "waiting experiences". I think this is a local tradition, but maybe it happens in other places... Each "Fat Tuesday" the bakeries in our area sell tons of Paczki pasteries (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paczki) and they are DELICIOUS! Plus, fattening as hell...lol. So, it's just a once a year tradition. This morning the bakery opened at 6 am and I was there by 8:00 and the line was out the door and halfway down the block. I waited for 45 minutes and got 7 of them to share with my family! Totally worth the wait...

I don't do waiting... If a product or service on sale has a long queue then I use the assumtion that the provider doesn't want my buisness and walk away to find an alternative...

Easy Logic... Works for me :o)

    Ciao Ciao

I waited online about four hours last year to buy tickets to the Burning Man festival, but it saved me about $40 a ticket, so it seemed worth it.

I'm not one to wait in line for a long time unless I'm with someone else who isn't willing to leave.

I once queued for a passport stamp, for 3 hours at the consulate.
I would otherwise not queue for anything as I now shop for everything at either farmers' markets or on the internet.
