Have you ever been fired from a job? If so, why?

    yes...the first one i vaguely remember but i was 15 and a bagger at the grocery store and i went to get my paycheck in the morning and then called in sick that night to go to a dead show...doh!...the second time was very early in my secretarial career i think i was about 19 or 20 and i kept calling in sick cuz in those days i used to close bars...so they canned me...those were the only 2 times...i wised up after that...

    Only got fired once-- I was a temp for the US Postal Service, and made an honest mistake with mail delivery. Unfortunately, because of some other previous problems with some of the regular carriers days before, I became the victim of a PR move. (Mind you, no other carriers were fired!)

    No, but I came close once because a girl hit me and it was told to the people in charge that I hit back. But when the truth was found out (thank goodness for security cameras) they didn't fire me.

    Nope, I always just quit. LOL I'm usually smart enough to line up another job before quitting, but that seems to be my downfall with the last one. Well I guess I didn't quit that one, my visa just ran out.

    I was fired from my first job, sanding seams off of those fancy stone statues--angels and lions and pseudo-ancient, half-dressed figures. Just couldn't see the seams, so my "done" wasn't done enough.

    Plus, who needed all that crap in the lungs? Happy to be kicked out.

    i got fired from a job when a bimbo on the board fired my boss and wanted to "clean house". in my place she put her brother, who was eventually arrested for harassing the women residents.
