I feared riding the Giant Drop at Six Flags Great America until Sunday when I conquered that challenge. It really wasn't as bad as I had remembered it. So with no lines, I rode it twice in a row.
Since they built the new bridge, it's only scary on a windy day or in the rain. The old broken bridge was very, VERY scary to cross any time! It was one of those built like an erector set. Seeing through the roadway to the water. When the barge clobbered it and half fell into the water I had a problem riding over it in a car with someone else... driving over it myself was out of the question.
Glad I got over that because I must drive over it to get to my dear cousin's home in the ghetto. :)
Heights... It's a good thing, too, because I spend a large portion of my workday 35 feet (about 3 stories)off the ground with only a small harness belt to keep me safe.

Elevators. Until I had my kids I would never ride in one. But then I decided taking the chance of falling to my death was better than draging 2 kids up the stairs. I don't know if I really over came it or just over came it out of laziness...
I used to be terrified of flying, but after I had children and we flew with them I didn't want them seeing my fear. I have pretty much overcome it but still occasionally get a little anxious.
Thunderstorms. I spent a bad one in the Arizona desert in a dome tent that was flattened to my face with strong wind. The booming thunder scared the crap out of me. Yes, I know it's only noise and the lightening is the dangerous part. It took dog sitting for a sweet, adorable lab and trying to convince him that thunder was harmless and he would be OK to cure me of it.

Driving in the left lane between an 18-wheeler and a Jersey barrier. Used to scare the bejesus out of me. Now I'm okay with it.
I'm still terrified of heights. I don't think I'll ever get over it.

I was afraid of moving to a new place far away because of lack of security regarding finances. I'm still working on it.
