This one Buddhist chant, but I don't even know exactly what they're saying, but I like the melody and the tone... hearing it saddens me and it makes me cry!
I am going to be cremated but if my family wants to get together for a celebration, I want them to play the theme song from the TV show Good Times. It makes me giggle for some reason. :)
No burial for me, either. Perhaps a memorial service/wake, and Mozart's "Lacrimosa" is my choice. (Kind of fitting, don't you think?) I too want to be cremated, and my ashes scattered on the "Field of my soul," a special meadow I used to go to as a kid. It was where I'd feel the most synchronous (sp?) with everything around me.
instructions have already been requested in the event of my death...i would tell you here but today i decided to turn my life into a sceenplay and you'll just have to catch the flick to see how it all ends...every moment of my whole entire life has a soundtrack...
ok ok i will say it when i die i am to be cremated and my ashes are to be spread at the far end of horseshoe bay beach in bermuda as sean harkness's song puesta del sol plays...
oh me loves me some drama...
if i catch this scene in a movie i will call my lawyer immediately...
I have two songs I want played at mine. 'Time for me to Fly' by REO Speedwagon and 'Amazin' by Aerosmith. Odd choices maybe, but both songs mean a lot to me.
But it's gonna be a party - and I would LOVE one of those New Orlean's funeral processionals, where they are all carrying on, having a big time, thru the streets....

Oh! Ew! No! I shall be cremated and then everyone can just get together and eat a lot of good food and get drunk.
