Hands down: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The man was pure genius, and completely revolutionized music in his day. Able to easily write compositions from countless genre, precise in his conducting of major works, influential to king and commoner alike, and knew music theory inside and out, literally.
If only I had half the songwriting abilities that he possessed!
Of all music, Mozart's Requiem is still my favorite, and I'm a metal-head!
